How Magnolia Works

The opening of Magnolia marks a new breed of private dinner clubs. When you come to Magnolia, the first thing you notice is that you’re not going to be having the typical Hong Kong dining experience! You’ll be forgiven for thinking you’ve wandered into someone’s home. You’ll enter into our comfortable sitting room where you’re given a complimentary welcome cocktail along with some canapés. You can mingle with your friends or meet other guests while fabulous smells of Cajun and Creole food waft through the air. You’ll marvel at how clean our massive open kitchen is and you can even wander into it to see what the chefs are cooking that night!

Lori will tell you what’s on the menu for your meal (it’s always a surprise!) and then take you up to our tastefully decorated dining room to begin your feast! Magnolia’s main dining area is set up in a dinner party style format (one long communal table where everyone sits together). It’s a great way to meet new friends in Hong Kong! Parties of 10 or more are given their own private seating area on a first availability basis.

We do not provide alcohol at Magnolia. Our dinner club is BYOB. We do not charge corkage fees and have complimentary iced tea, still mineral water, regular coffee, and tea on offer. You are welcome to bring any other drinks you wish to consume and we’ll be happy to chill and serve them for you.

Your meal will begin with a traditional New Orleans Gumbo and end with one of Lori’s fabulous desserts – pace yourself for everything in between! You’ll leave having been well taken care of, well fed and feeling at home. The only thing left to do is decide how soon your next visit to Magnolia can be!
